It’s new.

Mom just got it the other day. 

.

I was hoping that Mom or Dad would be using it, that doesn’t seem to be the case. 

.

I am talking about the new lawnmower.  

.

I know a teenager down the street from my grandparents who is 12 and he is just cutting the grass now. 

.

If I am going to cut the grass, then I am going to adjust the mower the properly before I get started. 

And wear shoes.

We all know what the red button is for at the front of the motor. 

It is the gas priming button. 

.

Push it 3 times before you try to start the mower. 

.

Do you think that it is red for a reason? 

It is. 

.

Everyone likes to push a red button. 

.

So, this is how things look from above. 

.

Is this how things will look when I am grown up? 

.

Now, 

I see things that adults can’t, 

or don’t want to.  

.

The other day I was helping my Dad do the dishes. 

I was on his shoulders so I could look down at the sink instead of looking up. 

It was a nice view from above. 

BUT.

“Donde estan mis pantalones?” 

.

“Where are my pants?” 

.

I often ask myself this question.  

.

I am just practicing for my days in the retirement home, when I reach my 60’s and start losing my hair and don’t feel like wearing my pants to get the mail. 

.

How do you feel about wearing pants? 

.

I am on the fence about it. 

A polite answer is that I have mixed feelings about it. 

When someone says that they have mixed feelings about something, you know that they are just being polite. 

.

I can go either way with pants. 

I can wear them,

or not. 

.

Mostly, I wear shorts. 

If I wear pants in the summer, I like to wear cotton or linen pants. 

.

Do they actually make linen pants for big boys like me? 

.

I haven’t seen Joseph wearing linen pants. 

.

In fact. 

.

I haven’t seen him wearing pants at all. 

He wears onesies and elastic band pants. 

There is a reason for that. 

.

Pants with an elastic seams keep everything in. 

Almost everything. 

.

Do you know what I mean?
