THE ADVENTURES OF JJ PICKLETOES

Family Vacation. 

Where do you like to go for your family vacation? 

Do you like to fly or do you like to drive? 

I like both, but I have never been on an airplane, so my favourite so far is a road trip. 

When you are on a road trip, 

 you can sleep like Joseph does or you can work on your Busy Book. 

 I like to work on my Busy Book. 

I’m not tall enough to play license plate bingo. 

Do you have something that you like to do on a road trip? 

What are you favourite vacation destinations?

London, England? 

Paris, France? 

Sorrento, Italy? 

.

St. Malo Beach here in Manitoba? 

How about Minneapolis, Minnesota? 

.

Is a family vacation really a holiday?   

.

Not for me, it seems. 

Once we got to the hotel, 

 I had to load the luggage on the big cart and then push the cart up to our room. 

Dad sat on the cart all the way up to our room. 

That is the way I remember it. 

Mom and Dad have a different version of the story, and they know how to use photoshop. 

There is an old black and white picture of my Grandpa shoveling grain off the old truck when he was only 2 years old. 

There wasn’t photoshop way back in the 1960’s, so you know what you see must be true. 

It doesn’t matter whose version is true, I just needed a coffee

and Joseph needed to

have lunch. 

Maybe I will get to play mini golf later at the mall.

The Mall of America, 

 in Canada’s 13^th province. 

.

I’m not really good at geography. 

 I am really good at mini golf and numbers. 

I am playing on the 6^th hole, and Joseph is 6 months old. 

Both times 6 comes after 5. 

.

Here we are at the Nickelodeon Universe. 

Our family really needs to get a double stroller. 

Dad and I did some rides, we liked some of them. 

Tracy Carnelley didn’t lie to me about the rides. 

Mom said that her friend Tracy lied to her about how smooth and gentle the Pepsi Coke 7UP ride was. 

Mom was just a kid so she might not remember it exactly right either.

We did spend a nice day at St. Malo beach with some of my friends and cousins. 

Some of the big kids built a sand castle. 

 Their names were Dad and Quinton. 

Those are funny names for kids.
