Sloths. 

Have you ever seen a sloth? 

.

I saw a couple the other day at the zoo. 

We were on our annual trip to the zoo. 

It was JoJo’s first trip to the zoo. 

.

I have been here so many times that the Sloths recognized me. 

.

I thought I heard them talking to each other. 

.

“Hey Sammy.” Does that kid look familiar to you?” 

.

“Yah, that’s the kid from last year.” 

.

“He has the backpack that looks like cousin Merv.” 

.

It is no wonder that Sloths and kids are attracted to each other. 

.

Thay have a few things in common. 

.

Sloths sleep 10 –15 hours a day. 

So do active boys and girls. 

.

There are two different kinds of Sloths. 

The two toed and the three toed. 

.

There are two different kinds of kids. 

.

Running kids and walking kids. 

.

One thing that toddler boys and Sloths don’t have in common are their bathroom habits. 

Sloths are quite particular about where and when they go to the bathroom. 

.

Toddler boys that are learning good bathroom habits aren’t so particular. 

.

A sloth will slowly climb down the tree and do their business at the bottom of the tree, far away from where they are. 

.

Toddler boys aren’t shy about going.  

.

They can go whenever or wherever they need to go. 

.

They can go when they are working on the deck, they can go when they are playing in the grass. 

Maybe sloths took some time to learn as well? 

.

After a long morning at the zoo, JoJo and I became a lot like sloths. 

.

We had to take a long nap and get ready for the rest of our day. 

.
