THE ADVENTURES OF JJ PICKLETOES

This has been some week. 

Not just for me but for my parents and my grandparents as well.

 

For Great Grandma as well, but for a different reason. 

Great Grandma locked her keys in her car, they were there a couple of days, which is fine. 

Great Grandma doesn’t really need to go anywhere anyway, but it is worse when you know that you can’t. 

She got her car unlocked and now that problem is solved. 

As for me. 

I heard this quote in a movie. 

“Winds in the East, Mist coming in. 

Like somethings brewin’ about to begin 

Can’t put me finger on what lies in store. 

But I feel what’s to happen has happened before.” 

Have you heard that saying before? 

It is from Mary Poppins. 

This week has been another eventful week for me and Mom and Dad. 

My Mom started an awesome new job, she is very excited about it. 

She has joined the 5am club, that is a club for people who get up at 5 am. 

I was in that club, but I have moved on from it, now I don’t get up until 6:30. 

Mom asked me if I wanted to go and visit my grandparents for a couple of days each week. 

I said,” WTF” 

Well, That’s Fun 

So, off I went to stay a couple of days and nights at one of my Grandparents house. 

It was fun! 

I spend the mornings and afternoons with Grandpa. 

We go for walks, we visit the neighbours, my Grandpa really likes talking to his neighbours. 

We look at some crazy electrical inventions and we also look at jobs to do in the neighbourhood. 

The days are busy. 

I have a nap before Grandma gets home from work, so I am not so grumpy. 

Grandma and Grandpa look after me together for the rest of the day. 

Does it really take two big people to look after one little person? 

In a moment of blessing, a lady called and offered me a place to meet new friends and play with them all day, until my Mom picks me up and we go home to meet Dad.  

My parents had put my name on the list a long time ago. Isn’t funny how things work? 

They called for the same week as my Mom started her new job. 

I get to go there three day a week, and it is fun. 

How can you beat it. 

There are friends. 

There is food. 

And there is even a place to take a nap. 

This must be training for a government job. 

Another important thing. 

Have you heard of the saying, “Dig your well before you are thirsty,” 

Is this what is happening to me? 

I got my first pair of shoes this week. 

“Shoes”. 

 I thought to myself. 

 “Why do I need shoes?” 

“I’m not even crawling yet, 

 oh I can Army crawl like nobody’s business,  

but do you really need shoes for that?” 

Maybe I will learn how to walk soon, now that I have new friends that can walk.
