Did you know that snails can crawl as soon as they are hatched?
They use a muscular foot that is on their underside that expands and contracts to move them along.
Snails crawl at rate of 8 centimeters per minute, if they didn’t stop to eat or rest, they would travel 4.8 meters in one hour.
Don’t we all have to stop to eat and rest when we are travelling?
Centipedes don’t learn to crawl either, they just know how to move their legs and go.
Centipedes don’t always have 100 legs as you would guess, they can have between 15 and 177 pairs.
That would be a lot of shoes.

If you were a centipede parent,
you could be spending from $1,1999.85 to $14,158.23 just on shoes.
That is a big shoe budget.
On a positive note, one set of shoes would last a centipede it’s whole life span.
Now I have mentioned some species that don’t need to learn how to crawl, but there is a species that does.
You know what that is.
It is the brave men and women that join the Army, or the Navy or the Air Force.
They must learn to do the army crawl.
The Army Crawl is very complex, it requires both sides of the body to work at the same time while carrying out separate motions.
This requires both sides of the brain to work at the same time as well.
Tricky stuff.
To add extra work to the brain and the body you should try army crawling through and I mean through and not around a large cardboard box.
I am told, although I don’t know this for sure is that if you can army crawl through a large cardboard box you have it made.
You are going places.
The world is your oyster.
You should try it.
I don’t go very fast, I go faster than a snail but probably not as fast as a centipede, it doesn’t matter. I still get where I am going.
You know what they say,
If you run a 5-minute kilometer or a 20-minute kilometer, you have still run a kilometer.
