Episode 56

You would think that there would have been more people there.

After all it is the last official holiday of the summer.

To some people it means that summer is over.

So we took advantage of the weather and my Dad tried something new.

No, it wasn’t line dancing,

But I don’t think he has done that before either.

We were there in the morning to find a good spot, because sometimes it is busy.

It wasn’t busy.

I saw two people walking around with metal detectors.

I heard a rumour that someone is getting one for Christmas because it looks like a fun hobby.

Don’t tell grandma.

There was a lifeguard beside us to make sure that we stayed safe.

You probably know that we were at the beach.

Bird’s Hill Beach

I took a few minutes to set up because I like to sit under the sun umbrella .

I have a great beach chair as well, but I don’t sit in it very long.

Mom and Grandma made lots of good snacks, the best one was red licorice

Grandpa had brought his inflatable paddle board to use.

He went around a couple of times.

Mom and dad took me out in own super speed boat dinghy.

I could go really fast as fast as someone could push me.

Then my dad took out the paddle board.

He had never done that before.

It took him a few tries to get up and then down he would go.

Then would get himself back on the board, then he would take a break and then he would be back at again.

He did really well after he figured it out.

It bet he was tired and maybe a bit sore at work the next day.

When you are on the paddle board you use muscles that you don’t normally use.

We had friends come out to visit us there and they used the paddle board as well.

I am sure it wouldn’t be long.

It won’t be this year for sure and not because I can’t walk yet, it is just that summer is over.
