BIRTHDAY PARTY AND STAR GAZING. EPISODE 33

It has been another week here at the ranch.

You know that I don’t really live on a ranch, it is just a saying that I have picked up along the way.

I have been doing quite a few different things this week.

“Doing what?”

I am glad you asked.

Let me tell you.

If you have been following along with my adventures, you know that I like to go to parties.

Since nobody wrote in about how they used their social skills to make those around them feel better, I am going to talk a bit more about parties again.

The most recent party that I went to was a birthday party.

Not a party for me but for my Great Grandma, she turned 90 years old.

I couldn’t tell that by looking at her, but I am not very good at that sort of thing.

My parents don’t look a day over 50 and my grandparents don’t look more than 75.

Maybe they just seem old to me.

Back to the party.

I spent the afternoon mingling, to move around and talk to other people at a social event,

I actually am fairly good at mingling, it wasn’t something that I was born with.

I had to learn it, it is a good skill to learn.

I worked the room, rubbing shoulders with the other people there, but I heard them.

I heard the whispers, I knew people were talking about me, why wouldn’t they.

“He looks like his mother,” some would say.

“He has his father’s eyes.” said others.

He looks exactly like his grandfather, or his great great great Aunt Ethel.

I knew they were talking about me, but I am okay with it.

You see I didn’t wear anything overly flashy or anything to stand out, I just made the people that I was mingling with feel special.

It’s what I do.

I am genuinely happy when I see people, and I show it.

You know the song lyrics, when you’re happy and you know it, “your face is going to show it.”

And I might kick my feet.

The other exciting thing that I did with my parents this week was star gaze.

This time it wasn’t as easy as last time.

With Daylight Savings Time.

I got ready, I got into my new pajamas, and I got ready to go outside and then my mom gave it to me.

Why would she give me a hat to look at the stars?

I soon would learn that it is hard to look at the stars before 7pm with,

Daylight Savings Time.

I tried.

But I have to go to bed at 7pm.

In fact, I want to go to bed at 7pm.

It is a rule I like to stick to.

Because, we all know the saying.

“Nothing good ever happens after 7.”

I don’t really want to know,

but have you ever stayed up after 7pm?

I bet nothing good came of it.

Let me know in the comments.
