EPISODE 81.                       THE ADVENTURES OF J+J PICKLETOES.                   NOW WHAT?

Last week both my friend and I were waiting.

We weren’t really sure what we were waiting for but now we both know.

For my friend, her wait was over Sunday night.

My wait wasn’t over until late Friday night.

.

Did you notice the title?

You might have to read it again.

.

This is an interesting story.

.

Early Friday Evening:

Text from Mom to Grandma, “Can you head this way to watch JJ, we should head to the hospital.”

“No rush, just when you get here.”

Grandma, “Okay, I’ll finish my groceries and head over.”

Grandpa, “Do you want me to head over?

He is in Winnipeg and, will get here sooner than Grandma.”

Mom, “No, we should be good.”

Grandpa, “I will head to your house and if you don’t need me, that is fine.”

Grandpa and another man have to meet some people from church at the airport who are returning from Mexico,

 at 1:26 AM.

.

20 minutes later.

.

Dad to Grandpa, “where abouts are you?”

“Keep us posted.”

Grandpa, “14 minutes from your house.”

.

10 minutes later.

.

“Let us know where you are.”

“I am 4 minutes from your house.”

.

Dad, “We are getting in the car.

Flash your headlights when you come around the corner and we will leave.”

We need to get going NOW!”

.

That was at 8pm on Friday.

.

Grandma arrived 20 minutes later and that would have been too late.

.

Mom was already on the delivery table by then.

It was all over by 10pm.

.

The wait was over.

.

Joseph Patrick Fisher was here.

.

Joseph Patrick Fisher is my baby brother.

Of course, I didn’t know the story until Saturday morning when I woke up,

and Mom and Dad weren’t home, and Grandma was at our house.

.

Now everyone is home and doing well.

.

I think Joseph sleeps through the night, but I couldn’t be sure,

because I do.

.

He probably doesn’t.

I learned something about words.

.

Words have different meanings to different people.

.

For Dad, a blowout probably refers to getting a flat tire.

.

When Mom says that Joseph had a BLOWOUT, it has nothing to do with tires.

.

Don’t worry, Mom.

I will help clean the rug.

And I do.

Every time I get my water cup, I pour a little water on the rug and rub it in.

I saw Grandma do it, so I am just trying to be helpful.

.

I took all night to be born.

I like to think things through before I do them.

Not really

.

Joseph was born in minutes.

Do you think that he will be more spontaneous?

.

We will see.

.

I now have a brother and I love him, we will become best pals.

.

Did it take long for you to be born?
