Playtime is over,
Overrated.
You would think that there would be time for play, over the break?
Not so.
I got a work bench for Christmas and I been busy using the saw, hammer and the wrenches.
My cordless drill like any cordless tool, Milwaukee or Dewalt, has a dead battery.
My dad has a Milwaukee cordless drill set, but the battery is charged in his.
Maybe, just maybe,
Mom isn’t putting the batteries in my drill because it will make too much noise?
.
It was good that I had practiced using my tools with my workbench.
I was able to help dad and grandpa install a big shelf in the living room.
.
There was lifting and measuring and re measuring until it was exactly in place.
Then there was pre drilling, drilling and counter sinking and then finally installing the screws to keep the shelf in place.
.
While this was going on,
I was using a ratchet wrench and a tape measure that I found in the tool bag.
.
I know.
I am a big helper.
.
I was also helping dad use the snowblower to make another parking spot in the yard.
I wasn’t right outside, but I was watching through the window.
.
It wasn’t all work for me.
There was some fun as well.
There were parties, family visits, and visits from friends.
And yes.
.
I am a couple of steps closer to walking.
That was almost funny.

I stood around on my own and then took a couple of steps.
.
I can walk fine if I have something to hold on to.
Or if I forget that I have to hold on to something, I just keep walking.
I can also walk fine, if I see flashing lights on the dishwasher.
I think I should walk over and push some buttons.
Doesn’t that seem like the logical thing to do?
.
At this rate it won’t be long, before I will be breaking up the dance floor,
or breaking things on the floor.
.
Did you have time to play over the holidays when you were a kid?
.
