ESTABO ENFERMO. EPISODE 69.

Para mis amigos de hablo Hispano.

That is correct.

I was sick.

.

I spent a lovely Sunday afternoon in the emergency room at the Steinbach hospital.

There were a lot of people there.

.

You know that most people make it to church on Sunday morning, before going to the emergency room.

They want to sing and pray and visit their friends first, maybe even go out for lunch.

Then go to the emergency room.

We didn’t get to church because I waited and waited for a room.

.

We went before church because that was when I needed to go.

.

A fever of 39 was enough to get me in fast.

I am just a kid, so I saw the Triage nurse right away.

.

Those nurses are tricky, so you have to watch out to see what is going on.

The nurses gave me some Advil or something to make the fever go away.

I am not a nurse or a doctor.

.

My grandpa has borrowed a lab coat, so I do have an idea.

If the nurse gives you some medication and you just throw it up.

.

BEWARE.

They give it to you so you can’t throw it up.

Do you know what I mean?

I know now.

After 7 hours of waiting room chairs and hospital a bed.

I am thankful.

Thankful that I only have two ears.

I had an ear infection in both my ears.

After all that.

Home, I went.

With just a prescription for antibiotics.

And popsicle stains on my shirt.

It seems that kids with a high fever like me get a purple popsicle to help take down the fever.

Did I mention that I am feeling great now?

I had to stay home from daycare for a couple of days.

My grandparents came to stay with me so that was nice.

On a different note.

.

My parents have been telling me that I need to share what I have.

.

So, I did.

.

I shared my fever with my parents and my grandparents.

Mom has a runny nose, and I think my dad has sore muscles.

Both the grandparents that stayed with me are sick now.

Achy muscles, fever, and runny nose.

Is a temperature of 38.9c too high for an old person?

All because of me.

Yes, I am good at sharing.

I have been told to give a little, save a little, and spend a little, then you should be fine.

Maybe I have taken that saying wrong?

We did moved to a new house.

That is very exciting.

I will talk about that another time.

.

I thought this adventure was mor interesting for now.

.

Let me know a time, when you had to go to the hospital.
