My Mom says that she started when she was 3 years old.
My grandpa says that he started when he was 2 years old.
I have already started, and I am only 17 months old.
At least I have proof.
.
Working that is.
.
Grandpa says that he was shoveling grain off a truck during the farm harvest when
he was 2 years old.
He says there is a picture, but no one has ever seen it.
Cell phones weren’t even invented way back then so how could there be a picture anyway?
.
My Mom said that she was feeding cattle when she was 3 years old.
I have seen this picture, but it was taken on something old fashion called a camera.
A camera, have you ever heard of such a thing?
.
At least there is proof of me working, someone took it on a cell phone so I know it must be true.
Yes.
At 17 months old I have started my career as a window washer.

I know that I probably won’t get rich cleaning windows.
Window washing can be a good career with steady income.
After all, how many homes and offices do you know that don’t have windows?
.
Do you know how many homes in Canada have kids in them?
6 million.
That is 6 million homes with kid tracks all over the windows, and the furniture and the stainless steel appliances, and the walls and the doors.
Need I go on.
I for one am doing my part to keep window cleaners, appliance cleaners and wall cleaners employed.
The people cleaning up after me probably don’t get paid but it is the joy of being around me that is the reward.
I know that I am still in training now, but with some practice I should be good enough to have a summer job around my neighbourhood.
Soon grandpa will be too old to climb the ladder to clean the windows on their house, and grandpa and grandma will hire me.
Then they will know that my training didn’t go to waste.
It might turn into a job that I can do part time to help pay for my schooling or extra vacations when I have a full time job.
Did you have a training when you were young that got you a part time job or lead to your career?
