What are we doing?
Are we going somewhere?
I asked my parents.
I tried to ask, but the words just didn’t come out right.
There must be something wrong with the hearing of adults.
I know some people took French class and others took Italian class but did no one
take KID language in school.
You would think that speaking KID would be much more important, or you would think that adults would remember how to speak KID because they all spoke it at one time.
I guess I will turn out the same way, my Grandpa says that he doesn’t speak Teenager and he used to be one.
Really, I don’t think he was ever young enough to be a teenager.
Something is going on.
There is a duffel bag on the floor and a small pouch beside it.
It can only mean one thing.
Or two things.
We are going to my favourite place.
One of my favourite places,
That is correct.
We are going to the airport.
It is quite a journey to the airport.
It is a long drive, but it is worth the trip.
You can get drinks there and there is a place to put your luggage.
There are lots of people that help you get in the right line.
Who needs to go to Disneyland when you can go to the airport.
We didn’t get to stay, we just dropped Dad off.
He was on his way to meet a friend and then go to win us a new car.
He said just one more dollar and he could have won it.
It isn’t as much fun without Dad around, but Mom and I did lots of things.
I had to go to my job for one more day, and then it is the weekend.
TGIF
That’s what we say.
The weekend is finally here.
“What are we going to do today?” I asked my Mom.
Again.
Today she answered.
We are going to see your cousins.
Visiting cousins, that sounds fun.
We finally got there.
I see them now Spock, Sweet Pea, Pickle, Marmalade, Frank and Scar.
Those seem like funny names for cousins,
but it says it right on the sign.
Visit our Squirrel Monkeys, Spock, Sweet Pea, Pickle, Marmalade, Frank and Scar.
I am not sure which side of the family these cousins are from.
It doesn’t matter.
Cousins are cousins. I did see lots of other people and animals there and it was an interesting day.
I was relived to find out that kids under 3 get in free, to visit their relatives.
I might go again.

I would like to tell you more
You know what they say.
What happens at the Zoo stays at the Zoo.
Let me know in the comments when you went to the airport and then went visit your cousins.
Do you have to pay to see your cousins?
