WHAT’S UP WITH THAT, EPISODE 24

There are a couple of things that happened this past week that I want to talk about.

Firstly.

I have only seen it this bad twice,

in my whole life.

That is how bad it was, I have only seen it this bad twice in my whole life.

I know it was bad throughout most of Canada and the United States.

It wasn’t just me who thought it was bad.

I heard others have only seen it this bad a couple of times in their lives as well.

I know what you are thinking and that is not it.

You are thinking about the stormy days that we have had here where the roads have been closed and the cold weather they are getting in the USA.

That isn’t it.

I am talking about the long lines at Costco, and the lesson I learned there.

He wanted to get in the faster line so that he could order lunch for us.

So, Grandpa stepped out of the regular cashier line into the self-checkout line.

I tried to tell him not to go there but, it was too late,

that isn’t the real reason I didn’t tell him.

The real reason I didn’t tell him is,

I can only say two words, and “don’t go there” aren’t any of the words I can say.

He should have cut his losses and gone to the back of the regular line, because

once you are in that line you can’t go back.

To make a short story long, Mom and I were through the checkout first and had enough time to boil water and make tea.

If that was allowed at Costco.

The lesson here, is one we get from the tortoise and the hare, and the lady at the self-checkout.

The regular cashier line is always faster. Let me repeat that so you will remember and not be tempted.

The regular cashier line is ALWAYS faster than the self-checkout line, even if you don’t forget your credit card PIN number and your credit card get lockout.

Secondly.

This a question that I have.

I am not sure what to do about, so I am going to ask my loyal readers for help.

Sometimes when we are in the car something happens.

My parents try to stop it, I hope.

I hear something.

It is a sound like no other, and it gets right in your bones.

Country Music, that’s right Country Music.

Somehow it accidently starts playing through the radio and it won’t stop.

Me listening to Classical Music Early in the Morning

What about Vivaldi or Beethoven, maybe even Bach or Milona?

Could we listen to them once in a while.

I do appreciate some of the finer things.

I know that everyone is entitled to their own taste, so I put up with it but isn’t it okay to have a mix.

What music do you like?

Let me know in the comments.
