THE ADVENTURES OF JJ PICKLETOES

I went with my friend. 

My mom went with her friend, who is also her cousin. 

My dad went with his friend, who is also his friend. 

I went with my friend. 

He is also my cousin, I know some of you are going to want to correct me and say that he is really my second cousin. 

But. 

What colour is a shiny red car? 

Red. 

What colour is a light blue shirt? 

Blue. 

You see what I am doing here. 

Not bad for a kid my age. 

He is also 20 percent older than me no that isn’t correct. I am 20 percent older than he is, but we are still friends. 

I know that we are friends because when we get together, we don’t have to say much to each other we are just content to walk in silence. 

Well, we don’t really walk, we just let our parents carry us or push us in our strollers. 

It just goes to show that our friends can be an age,  

younger or older. 

Except for my grandpa, he is old.  

I know that he has younger friends but at his age I find it hard to believe that he has friends older than he is.  

We took our parents on this week’s adventure. 

I was hoping that our dads wouldn’t be scared. If they were they didn’t show it. 

They sure were putting on a good face for our moms. 

The pathways we went through had very high walls so high that I couldn’t see over them. They reached almost to the sky. 

They were almost 2 meters high. 

I don’t know if our parents could see over them or not. 

It was scary, but after what seemed like hours, we finally we made it through. 

Yes, I am talking about the corn maze. 

There was a lesson again this week. I don’t always have to say the lesson but, this week I want to be clear. 

So, as I am talking.  

You know I can’t talk yet. 

But if I could. 

You would see, I am moving my hands in a big circle, at the same time. 

The lesson I learned. 

When you are scared, you need to put on a brave face and do what needs to be done. 

That’s what us men and ladies need to do. 

And as a reward, 

 you will get to pet the rear end of a goat, at the petting zoo. 

That’s what we got to do.
