THE ADVENTURES OF JJ PICKLETOES

 

Have you been there before? 

Have you seen how big they are? 

Just try eating your picnic lunch in the park and they will show up. 

Wasps, that is, they will show up and want to join you at your picnic. 

It is nice, when you can share your picnic lunch, 

but not with wasps, and they were big, big wasps. 

These wasps were twice the size as my little finger, twice the size. 

Have you seen a wasp that has been twice the size as your little finger? 

I bet that you haven’t. 

At one point I thought I felt like I was being lifted up and I looked and saw that about 4 of these wasps were starting to lift up my stroller, if it wasn’t for the quick thinking of my Grandpa Currie those wasps would have carried me away to their hive. 

We finally finished our lunch and put it away and then the wasps left us alone. 

My grandpa says wasps are like teenagers,  

once the food is gone, they will leave as well. 

We did go for a short walk; we crossed the street towards the pavilion then we went down the path towards the pond. 

If it isn’t wasps, it is something else! 

Geese. 

My mom doesn’t like geese or really birds of any kind, so we turned around just when it was getting fun. 

I heard there was a group started a long time ago called 

Moms Against Fun. 

I know my mom or other moms aren’t against fun or are they. 

No, no, they are just looking after us, and they are generally more responsible than dads are. 

That’s what my grandma says. 

I am getting tired and grumpy now, so it is time to go home. I am still a baby so I’m not very good at hiding my feelings. 

I do wonder what adventures I will go on next.
